Judging takes place for the annual Highfield in Bloom competition.
We all look forward to this time of year when residents and staff from across the services get involved with the annual Highfield in Bloom competition.
Situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty, Highfield Park’s picturesque backdrop is perfectly complimented by the lovingly maintained gardens, pots and planters at each home.
Resident I.F, Jenny Renshaw, HR Administrator and Julie Reddican, Recruitment Coordinator, judged the entries on the 30th August.
There were entries from 7 homes – Rose, Pine 2, Ash, Cherry, Orchard 1, Orchard (Communal) and Lodge. All entered an array of flowers in various containers, beds and other imaginative planted areas.
The winner was Lodge with their variety of planted areas which included – Gnome Grave, Butterfly Sanctuary, Planted Containers, recycling cans and mosaic work. The decision was based on their use of recycling material and imagination.
Pine 2, Orchard 1 and Orchard (Communal) all received Highly Commended from the judges. Certificates to follow.
Well done to all who took part in the competition.
