We have been involved in providing care for over four decades, operating a number of care homes, including Holland House, prior to the formation of MHC.
- October – We bought ‘Care Concern’ which included Acrefield, Avalon, Furze Mount, Highfield Park and St Davids. Company name changed to Mental Health Care (UK) Ltd.
- Holland House was brought under the MHC umbrella.
- Purchase of ‘St Margarets’ Rocky Lane, Liverpool. Name changed to MHC (Rockfield).
- Purchase of New Hall Hospital.
- Refurbishment of Ash, Holly and Rose on Highfield Park.
- August – MHC sold to Castlebeck.
- Glyn Rhosyn Care home with nursing opened (New Build).
- Glaslyn Ward at New Hall opened (New Build).
- November – MHC bought back from Castlebeck.
- February – Purchase of Young Foundations (Residential and Fostering services for children and young people).
- February – Glyn Rhosyn Villas opened (New Build).
- May – Purchase of ‘Regency Hospitals’ in Blackpool and Heswall. The Blackpool site is now known as Newton House.
- November – Meols Drive opened (New Build).
- January – New Hall Hospital refurbishment completed.
- March – Additional 4 beds added to Rockfield after purchase of ajoining terrace property.
- February – Oak opened (New Build on Highfield Park).
- August – Willow and Elm opened (New Builds on Highfield Park).
- May – Relaunch at St Davids Independent Hospital following complete internal refurbishment.
