Service Overview
Hillside View is a thoughtfully developed two-bed residential home. It is made up of two distinct, apartment-styled living spaces. Hillside was purposely designed to offer an environment where staff can deliver high-quality, specialist support for adults with significant complex learning disabilities and associated needs. Every element of the home has been created with care, ensuring a high standard of accommodation that meets the diverse and often intricate needs of the people it supports.
The environment at Hillside View is calm, safe, and fully adaptable, allowing staff to personalise the space in line with individual requirements. This flexibility ensures that residents not only feel comfortable but are also supported in a way that promotes independence, dignity, and wellbeing.
With a strong focus on person-centred care, Hillside View delivers bespoke support packages tailored to each resident’s unique strengths, needs, and goals. The skilled and compassionate team is committed to enhancing quality of life, building trusted relationships, and empowering individuals to reach their full potential. They provide a nurturing approach where individuals are truly at the centre of their care and can live happy and fulfilling lives.

- Autism, mental health conditions and associated complex needs
- Additional needs and/or display behaviours seen as challenging

At Hillside View, our care and support practices are underpinned by a commitment to continuous improvement and meaningful outcomes for every individual we support.
- Progress Monitoring: Outcomes are regularly reviewed, analysed, and refined to ensure each person continues to move forward on their own path, with support that remains responsive and relevant.
- Evidence-Based Practice: We use well-established care frameworks such as Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), Person-Centred Planning (PCP), Outcome Star, and Active Support. These models form the foundation of our approach, helping individuals to develop new skills, manage challenges, and lead fulfilling lives.
- Collaborative Support: We understand the importance of working in partnership. Individuals, families, and commissioners are actively involved in shaping care and support plans, ensuring alignment with personal goals.

Residents are supported to access a full range of primary healthcare services within the community, including GP visits, dental care, opticians, and other services.

Surrounding Area
Hillside View is set within 30 acres of outstanding natural beauty on the Highfield Park estate in Llandyrnog. The estate features a spacious activity hub where individuals can choose to take part in a variety of engaging pursuits, including sports, arts and crafts, music, and other enriching activities. Hillside View offers residents the tranquillity of countryside living while being conveniently located near local amenities and areas of interest across North Wales and the North West of England.
Both regions provide easy access to a wide range of facilities, including colleges, libraries, leisure centres, cinemas, cafés, and shopping outlets. A key local resource is HWB Denbigh, a dynamic centre offering educational, employment, and wellbeing opportunities. HWB Denbigh is equipped with teaching rooms, a music studio, workshop space, an IT suite, and a fully fitted teaching kitchen, and it hosts a variety of activities, including fitness classes.
Denbigh itself offers a welcoming community with a public library, supermarkets, and a range of local shops. Further afield, but easily accessible via Hillside View’s vehicle or public transport links, are the historic market towns of Ruthin and Mold, the seaside town of Rhyl, the city of Chester, and the popular coastal resort of Llandudno, all set within the beautiful landscape of North Wales
Registered Manager
Registered Manager, Michaela Vallance
Michaela brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her role as Registered Manager at Hillside View. Having worked with MHC since 2013, Michaela has over 15 years of expertise in leading and delivering high-quality care for individuals with learning disabilities, autism, epilepsy, and mental health needs across both residential and community settings.
Michaela holds a QCF Level 5 in Leadership and Management, as well as NVQ Level 2 and 3 qualifications in Health and Social Care. Her strong leadership skills, combined with a deep commitment to person-centred care, ensure that every individual supported at Hillside View receives compassionate, tailored support designed to promote independence, dignity, and well-being.
Michaela is passionate about creating environments where people can thrive and achieve positive outcomes, and she works closely with families, professionals, and her team to maintain the highest standards of care.
