Larch
A five-bed residential home for men and women aged 18 and over, who have a learning disability or those with autism and complex needs.
Service Overview
Larch is a specialist residential service providing person-centred care for up to five individuals in a warm, welcoming environment. The service is designed to support adults with complex needs to build confidence, develop essential life skills, and achieve greater independence.
At the heart of Larch is a commitment to personalised support. Each individual is placed at the centre of their care, with bespoke plans that reflect their goals, preferences, and strengths. The focus is on enhancing overall wellbeing, promoting independence, and improving quality of life through meaningful support.
Larch is a thoughtfully designed bungalow that offers a comfortable and homely setting. The property includes a cosy lounge, five individual bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a communal bathroom, a shower room, two additional single toilets, a dedicated dining room, and a separate activity room for leisure and skill-building opportunities.
The service has been developed to help individuals take the next step on their care pathway. What we do
At Larch, support is built entirely around the individual—recognising their unique needs, preferences, and goals. Our dedicated team works closely with each person to identify and build on their strengths, while developing new skills that enhance overall wellbeing and independence.
We provide a wide range of engaging, outcome-focused opportunities designed to encourage personal growth, meaningful progression, and greater autonomy across all areas of life.
Residents benefit from high-quality, person-centred care delivered by a compassionate and experienced team who are committed to making a positive difference every day.
Larch also proudly delivers the Active Offer, ensuring services are accessible and available in the Welsh language. This inclusive approach supports individuals to communicate in their preferred language, celebrates the cultural heritage of Wales, and strengthens our connection with the wider community.
How we do it
At Larch, progress is continuously reviewed, measured, and refined to ensure every individual is moving towards their goals. We use Life Star, a recognised tool that helps set clear objectives, track development, and celebrate achievements, capturing meaningful progress at every stage.
Collaboration is central to our approach. We actively involve residents, families, and commissioners in all aspects of planning and decision-making to ensure support remains truly person-centred and reflective of each individual’s goals.
Every resident at Larch has a Person-Centred Plan (PCP), developed prior to admission and reviewed regularly. These plans provide a detailed, evolving reflection of the individual which reflect their preferences, strengths, needs, and goals.
We also implement Positive Behavioural Support (PBS), a proactive, evidence-based approach for individuals who may display behaviours which are seen as challenging. By understanding the context and triggers behind certain behaviours and working collaboratively with the person and their support team, we create personalised strategies that help manage behaviour in a respectful, inclusive, and least restrictive way.
Residents are supported to access a full range of primary healthcare services within the community, including GP visits, dental care, opticians, and other services.
